VALUE CHAIN ANALYSIS 

Refers to the process whereby a firm determines the costs associated with organizational activities from purchasing raw materials, to manufacturing product(s) to marketing those products. Its aims is to identify where low-cost advantages or disadvantages exist anywhere along the value chain from raw material to customer service activities.

VCA can enable a firm to better identify its own strengths and weaknesses, especially as compared to competitors value chain analysis.

        SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:

  1. Human resources: Performs and define the staff profile as a planning, staff selection, staff hiring.

  2. Technology: the technologies used in most of the companies are very different. In our case, we have a basic computer where we prepare reports or medical records, so it also includes a printer for delivery of nutritional plans. Also, we use softwares to manage the physical and nutritional needs of the customers (Diet Master Pro and RD Meal Plans), and the knowledge our employees have.

  3. Organizational infrastructure

-       PRIMARY ACTIVITIES: are involved in the physical creation of the product, sales and after-sales service.

  1. Out bounding logistics: Are the activities that the client reaches the point of sale for acquisition of the final product. That is, for its printed nutritional plan or simply because a home training process starts with the customer.

  2. Operations: Are the activities when the client is preparing him/herself to get a service. (Medical evaluation).

  3. Marketing and sales: The service is a counseling of nutritional plans or/and personal training. There different kinds of services we can offer which is the basic one: $400.000 pesos colombianos. Intense one: $600.000 pesos colombianos. Training: 3 times week $350.000 pesos colombianos. 5 times week $550.000 pesos Colombians. Nutrirional plan which includes the diet, the medical evaluation and the laboratory exams $150.000 pesos colombianos. The place will be located in Rincon Del Chico in the 100 street #15-09. And finally the promotion is basically having a leader from each university who will be in charge of encouraging students to come by delivering some tickets with a discount in it. Also, there’s a Instagram site opened and managed by us.

  4. Service: This will be beginning depending on the service the client choose. But there’s always be a medical checking, laboratories exams included and a following client.
